Inspired: Happy Being Me

“Those hurtful words deeply cut into my heart. It hurt, but I bit my tongue and endured. I know I’m gonna heal and I’m always looking up. Even if it’s dark, I’m gonna find the light.” (Amber-Beautiful)

Amber from f(x) recently made her solo debut, and it seriously blew me away. I never knew she had such a pretty voice, and I really like her album. It’s hard to choose a favourite song from the album, but this one definitely has to be one of them.

The song is a little on the short side, but the lyrics are so meaningful and inspiring that I think it’s perfect the way it is. This song is one of those ones that I would recommend to anyone, no matter their mood was. It’s hopeful, despite the traces of sadness in it. This song really is ‘Beautiful’.

On a side note, I was a little surprised when I heard the song after I had seen the picture posted above. Because of how colourful and lively it was, I expected the song to be really upbeat. I was surprised when I heard the song, but pleasantly so.

“I can fly higher without fear, even when I’m trapped in darkness. Any kind of scar is beautiful to me. I’m just happy, I’m happy to be myself.”

Happy New Year!

Happy-New-Year-2015-images6

It hasn’t even been a year since I started this blog, but I feel like I’ve gotten quite a lot done…and I got it up and running, which is pretty much all I wanted in the first place.

I want to thank every again for coming to read my posts, and everyone who will in the future.

I hope everyone has an amazing New Year and that this year will be even better than the last!

Happy December!

December-Christmas-4

It’s finally December…I’m not sure exactly how I feel about this.

I’m really excited about the fact that Christmas is so close…but also a little nervous. Before I can start wrapping the gifts (Or even buy the materials for that), I need to receive all of them first…and that has yet to happen. They shipped around mid-November, so they should be arriving soon, but shipping can be pretty unpredictable, especially around the holiday season. I already have some, I’m just waiting on…well, the bulk of them, actually.

However, I’m happy whenever I see Christmas decorations and such, and I can’t wait to get the tree up this year. Decorating it is one of my favourite Christmas traditions.

So, time’s ticking…but here I am, only able to hope that everything will work out well (And that things will get here soon). Well…at least I have the Christmas spirit floating around to cheer me up.

Now…if only it would start to snow. And then not melt as soon as it hit the ground, or less than 72 hours later.

Happy Halloween Everyone!

So…finally Halloween! Hope all of you out there have been having a good day…it’s going to get dark soon, and then…Halloween night!

I finally have everything ready, and I’m excited to see all of the costumes tonight. I put together a pretty last minute one but hey, better than nothing, right?

And then, after this…there will be a lot of candy on sale (Bad for my wallet and my teeth) and then the Christmas displays will start popping up all over the place! Already very excited for that…and eating some of that leftover Halloween candy is going to be a great way to spend the next few days while I plan my Christmas shopping trips.

Hope you’ll all have a great night…happy Halloween!

Random Acts Of Kindness…

Random-Acts-of-Kindness

So…everyone’s probably heard of this and has, hopefully, experienced at least one of these in their lives.

These little acts of kindness don’t take much time or effort (Or money), but they can make someone’s day at least a little better…or maybe even totally make their day!

Like what happened to me today, on a mundane trip to the grocery store for some Thanksgiving turkey:
1) I insert $0.25 to get a cart…the stupid thing is stuck. One of the employees sees me struggling with the cart, stops what he’s doing, and (With some fancy manoeuvring of the next cart), yanks it out for me.

2) I go to the cash and struggle to put both 10 lb. turkeys on the conveyor awkwardly by myself (Thanks, mom…I don’t know whether to be flattered or not that she thought I could actually manage to carry all that alone), and this guy behind me asks me if I need help and actually picks up the other one and puts it down for me.

That not only made my day better, but it also reminded me that there are nice people within those crowds of annoyed, rude shoppers all pushing and shoving and trying to get to the sale stuff.

It’s also reminded me that even if it’s just a little thing, I can make someone’s day better…
