Less than a week after Halloween…I’m sure that, just from reading the title alone, you already know what this post is going to be about.
I have a huge sweet tooth…chocolate, candy, cake, ice cream…basically, dessert. So I always pick up some candy after Halloween, because a lot of it is marked down by quite a bit! It’s great to have candy for all those early Christmas specials in November and just because…well…there’s never a bad time for candy.
Plus, it’s great to go with some friends, but a bunch of candy and then share it before our next class starts.
I know it sounds like I eat a heck of a lot of candy and should really have a dozen or so cavities by now, but, in reality, I don’t. I don’t really buy candy or sweets much (Unless they’re on sale…or I’m out shopping and pass by that cupcake shop and can’t help myself…), so this is just one of the few times during the year when I have a lot of candy.
Anyways…continuing with my preparations for Christmas, eating candy, waiting for the day it finally snows…just another day of randomness.
So…finally Halloween! Hope all of you out there have been having a good day…it’s going to get dark soon, and then…Halloween night!
I finally have everything ready, and I’m excited to see all of the costumes tonight. I put together a pretty last minute one but hey, better than nothing, right?
And then, after this…there will be a lot of candy on sale (Bad for my wallet and my teeth) and then the Christmas displays will start popping up all over the place! Already very excited for that…and eating some of that leftover Halloween candy is going to be a great way to spend the next few days while I plan my Christmas shopping trips.
Hope you’ll all have a great night…happy Halloween!
Alright…it’s finally here! The day before Halloween…
Seeing all those decorations and Halloween candy and costumes everywhere makes me really excited…I’m not quite sure why I like this holiday so much, since I don’t go trick-or-treating and I hate horror movies…perhaps it’s the costumes. Or maybe just the fact that I love holidays. Who knows.
Today will be all about preparing for Halloween…costumes, candy, decorations…I’m even going to make a little time to do my nails. Nail art is a hobby of mine that I don’t do often, but I love it when I have a good reason for it.
I hope at least some of you out there share my excitement.
Some more Snoopy…I’m sorry, but he’s just so cute! It won’t be just Snoopy for Christmas, though…I promise…
Hi everyone! I hope you guys have been having a good day so far…
There are so many Halloween displays and shows and such on lately, and I’ve been really getting into the spirit. Seeing all the make-up displays and DIY costume ideas have really given me some inspiration, too. I’m not 100% sure what I’m going to do for a costume yet, but I’m starting to get a pretty good idea…
Originally, I had been planning to put together something simple and easy and simply hand out candy. But then my friends convinced me to go out with them, so I’m trying to piece together something a little better. Plus, as I do almost every year, I want to do some nice nail art to go with it, but I still can’t figure out what I want to do…
I’m sure I’ll figure something out, though. I usually don’t know what I’m going to dress up as until about a week before Halloween, and I have a vague idea now so I’m pretty sure I’ll know by the end of this week.
Anyways, only 10 days to go until Halloween!
Lately, I’ve actually started getting gift catalogues and I’ve been starting to see Christmas displays pop up. It isn’t even Halloween yet, I know, but I can’t help but be excited…Christmas is my absolute favourite holiday, so I start anticipating it really early in the year.
I’ve basically been visiting the X-Mas Clock website pretty much weekly (65 days until Christmas!). I’m excited for Halloween too, don’t get me wrong, but Christmas is just…there’s just something about it that makes me feel really happy. I’ve been preparing for Halloween, but all these catalogues and displays that have started popping up have made it so that Christmas is always lingering in the back of my mind.
Anyways, I wonder if I’m the only one feeling this way…I guess I should probably at least wait for Halloween to be over before I start planning for another holiday, huh?
But, in my defence, these stores with all their catalogues and displays are getting a much earlier jump-start on the holiday than me…I, in the very least, haven’t started shopping or anything yet. So I’m definitely not the earliest one.
Then again, I’m not trying to make any money off of the holiday (I’m going to lose money instead, though), am I right?
3 weeks until what, you ask? Why…Halloween, of course!
I love a good holiday, and Halloween is definitely a fun time of year (At least, for me it is). Now, I don’t like horror movies or that kind of thing, so I guess it’s strange that I like Halloween since it’s supposed to be such a creepy time of year.
But I love pretty much all holidays, so…there you go.
I remember being so excited for trick-or-treating when I was young, and I dressed up even when I was a little older…even though I only hand out candy now (Too old to go trick-or-treating…), I still really enjoy it. I don’t really do costumes anymore, but I still dress up a little. Do my nails to match the Halloween spirit and I love seeing the different costumes of the kids in my neighbourhood.
So, with only 3 weeks to go, it’s time to start planning a nail art design and going out to look for some candy (Or should I hand out chips this year?)!
