[1 Day Until Christmas] Countdown to Christmas…Favourite Part of Christmas Dinner!

So…tomorrow’s Christmas! And one of the best parts of it is the Christmas dinner you have with family. Today is my absolute favourite part of Christmas dinner…and by ‘part’, I mean food.

Potatoes in pretty much every form…but they’re best if they’re mashed and served with butter: I don’t really have this any time but at Christmas, and I love it…so it’s my favourite part of Christmas dinner. It’s a simple dish but one I rarely have (Not sure why), and I love potatoes in general, so this dish is a winner for me.

So…that’s it! Only a few hours until Christmas…the most wonderful time of the year!

[2 Days Until Christmas] Countdown to Christmas…Favourite K-Pop MVs!

So…we are so close to Christmas…and the countdown is almost over!

Today’s list is my absolute favourite K-Pop Mvs of all time. I know I previously did a post on my favourite Youtube videos, but that was on my favourite ones from this year.

I would like to also mention Taeyang’s “Wedding Dress”…another one of my favourites. And K.Will’s “Please Don’t…”. Not only touching and sad, but also incredibly unexpected and memorable.

1) Why Did I Fall In Love With You-DBSK: This MV was really sad, but I really liked the plot. It wasn’t like a lot of MVs where there seems to be a plot, but it’s non-sensical…this one was not only good, but sad.

2) Haru Haru-Big Bang: Big Bang has a lot of good MVs…but this one is my absolute favourite out of all of them. I still cry when I watch it.

This post was pretty difficult for me…there are so many good MVs to choose from! Of course, all of these songs are also some of my absolute favourites. A good song definitely needs a great MV!

[3 Days Until Christmas] Countdown to Christmas…Christmas Movies!

I mentioned before that one of my favourite things to do during the holidays is watching Christmas movies with family and friends. So I thought I’d share a few my top 3 with you guys.

I just had to mention Frosty, even though he isn’t on the list…it isn’t a Christmas movie list without him!

1) Christmas with the Kranks: This didn’t get very good reviews, but I really like it. It’s hilarious, quirky and pretty memorable. Sure, the plot wasn’t the absolute greatest but it’s great for a laugh during the holidays.

2) Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer (1964): A classic, and one that I grew up with. It’s the 50th anniversary of it this year so I’m definitely watching this…but I do every year.

3) Call Me Claus: Another movie that I’ve been watching for years. A great movie that’s not only very funny, but touching as well. I really do love it.

So…those are my top 3. Did any of yours make the list?

Anyways, I hope that you guys are ready for Christmas…I’ll just go make a mug of hot chocolate (My hot chocolate on a stick, which turned out great, by the way), settle down and watch some holiday specials and movies.

[4 Days Until Christmas] Countdown to Christmas…Korean Dramas!

Yesterday’s post was about Youtube videos…and today’s is about something that consumes even more of my time in general…Korean dramas.

A special mention for ‘Dream High’…while it isn’t on this list, it is definitely one of my favourites!

Here are my 4 favourites…it was hard to choose!

1) Goong: I became fans of both Yoon Eun Hye and Joo Ji Hoon through this drama. Oh, and we can’t forget Kim Jeong Hoon (He was the cause of one of my worst cases of Second Male Lead Syndrome ever…). A rags to riches sort of Cinderella-esque (But also not really…it’s gard to explain) sort of drama, this is my absolute favourite.

2) You’re Beautiful: There’s no way Shin Hye could’ve passed for a boy in real life (Especially with that singing voice…which her twin brother also apparently has, which I thought was a little weird), but this drama was really good despite that. Kang Shin Woo is and will always be my absolute favourite K-Drama male character ever. And this was probably the only drama I experienced Third Male Lead Syndrome watching…

3) Operation Proposal: The drama that introduced me to the amazing actor that is Yoo Seung Ho. One of the only actors that ever got me bawling with him almost every time. A memorable drama and one that was funny, touching, sad and absolutely wonderful all at the same time.

4) Boys Over Flowers: I know, I know…of course this would be here, right? But it’s a classic…and I really did love it. Second Male Lead Syndrome was also intense during this drama…I loved Rui in the manga, and I loved Ji Hoo in the drama. Plus, he played violin. But really…this is just one of those dramas that pretty much every fan has watched. And that’s still popular. But for a good reason.

Some of you will agree with some of my choices, others won’t…and we’re all entitled to our own opinions.

Anyways, hope you enjoyed today’s post…maybe it’ll give a few of you something to do over the holidays, too!

[5 Days Until Christmas] Countdown to Christmas…Youtube Videos!

With all the extra time off during the holidays, I always like to spend a bit of it catching up on Youtube videos (Read: K-Pop MVs). So…here are my 5 favourite Youtube videos from this year (So far!).

Screen Shot 2014-12-20 at 9.46.02 PM

1) Error-VIXX (MV): Yes, I know I mentioned this is a previous post. But the MV was just so touching…it was an unforgettable one for me.

2) This Is Love & Evanesce-Super Junior (MVs): These are 2 MVs that go hand in hand…I can’t separate them in my mind. They were amazing and I really liked them, though they were pretty simple MVs. Still…sometimes simple is best.

3) “Life As New Parents”-Bubzbeauty: I really like Bubzbeauty…her tutorials are great, and her vlogs make me so happy. This was definitely one of my favourites…I found it adorable, as usual, but also touching. Congratulations, Bubz~

4) Growl Violin Cover-Jun Sung Ahn: I love this guy’s violin covers…but this was an amazing violin/dance cover. ‘Growl’ sounded great on the violin, and the cover was a pretty accurate one, too.

5) Let It Go/Vivaldi’s Winter-ThePianoGuys: These guys are just…absolutely amazing. There are really no words to accurately describe how good they are. But the scenery was beautiful, the song incredible and…well…it jumped up to my favourites list before the video was even over.

So here they are…not a very festive list, but maybe it’ll give you a little something to watch during your holidays.

[6 Days Until Christmas] Countdown to Christmas…Holiday Moments!

So…I thought I should get a more festive post in here, so here it is.

Hot Chocolate_Candy Canes

Holiday moments…I’m sure we all have different things that we do every holiday with our family and friends, but here are my 6 favourite holiday moments.

1) Chats over hot cocoa: That might sound like a pretty normal thing, but I associate it with the holidays. These happen a few times during the holidays…after some Christmas shopping with friends or sometimes I’ll go out with my family just go to get some nice hot cocoa, sit down and have a nice chat.

2) Decorating the tree: A family tradition. This one really gets me in the holiday spirit and it’s a really fun thing for everybody to get together and do.

3) Strolls in the snow: There aren’t many places open on Christmas, so my family just goes outside to enjoy the snowy scenery. A snowball fight is just as likely to happen as a chat.

4) Christmas movies: Getting together with family or friends to watch a good old Christmas movie is another one of my favourite things to do during the holidays.

5) Christmas shopping: Yes, this is a hectic experience for many. But I actually like browsing different stores to try to find the perfect gifts. While I’m a fan of online shopping, I’m still a firm believer in going out there and actually physically browsing and shopping. I especially love going with family or friends. The more the merrier!

6) Christmas mornings: My favourite day of the year…and I love Christmas mornings. Everyone is content after a good night’s sleep and I finally get to find out if the gifts I picked out were good ones. And then comes the many small little moments with family that happen throughout the day that I really treasure.

So…that’s it! Makes me feel a little nostalgic whenever I think of these since I’ve done most of them since I was a kid.

[7 Days Until Christmas] Countdown to Christmas…Jewellery!

So…with holiday parties, we’re all probably looking for some trinkets to spice up our wardrobes. But there will always be those few pieces that you love and wear time and time again. These are mine.

Today’s post is on my 7 favourite pieces of jewellery!

1) A necklace that loops around itself: Shown in the picture above, I saw this on a K-Drama character and immediately fell in love with it. I bought on off of ToFebruary and it has become one of my absolute favourites.

2) A slider necklace: These are so simple yet quite unique. I got my first one last year and love it. The fact that you can adjust it to any length you want is awesome!

3) A body chain: I love wearing mine over a plain white tank top. It really dresses up any plain top, really. It makes a statement without being over the top…nice and simple, goes with anything. Can’t go wrong with a piece of jewellery like that.

4) A simple slave bracelet: Another simple piece of jewellery that can really make a statement. Versatile and can be worn casually or even with dresses and such.

5) A hair chain: I made my own hair chain with chains and some hair combs, and I love it. Another simple statement making piece that really does go with anything.

6) A teardrop necklace: This necklace is one of my absolute favourites. Not only is it from one of my favourite dramas, it’s a beautiful necklace. I love it.

7) A simple silver ring: One of my most simple pieces of jewellery, but one of my favourites. Really, you can’t go wrong with something timeless like this.

And that’s that…only a week until Christmas…can you believe it?

[8 Days Until Christmas] Countdown to Christmas…K-Pop!

Edit: I’m so sorry guys…I accidentally scheduled this post on the Wednesday of next week (the 24th) instead of the 17th (The previous post was actually created on the 16th…Wordpress has weird time stamps). So here it is…a day late, though…

An honourable mention goes to Boyfriend for ‘Obsession’…while it didn’t make it on the list, this really was an amazing release and I had a hard time deciding whether or not to put it on.

Today’s post is about my 8 Favourite K-Pop songs of 2014! Can’t do favourites without putting some K-Pop in there…

1) Eyes, Nose, Lips-Taeyang: Many of you probably expected this…it was pretty popular. And it is my favourite K-Pop release of 2014. Tablo’s English cover of it was also awesome.

2) Danger-BTS: This song was seriously addictive (I still play it, even now). Plus, that amazing dance…? I still can’t forget it. I thought it was definitely one of the best releases of the year.

3) Singing Got Better-Ailee: I really liked the MV for this song, and her vocals are just so powerful…plus, the song lyrics really got to me. This song definitely has a place in my heart.

4) Angel (1004)-B.A.P: The lyrics for this song, the MV and that creative use of ‘1004’…I really loved not only this song, but this entire album.

5) Error-VIXX: The MV for this song really got to me, along with the lyrics…it literally brought me to tears. That makes it not only a favourite, but also a memorable release of 2014. I will never get tired of that MV.

6) Overdose-EXO: I really liked this song…much better than ‘Wolf’, in my opinion. Catchy with a nice dance, plus the album was pretty cool, too.

7) I’m In Love-Secret: Their concept this time was a little different than usual, but I really liked it. This song was stuck in my head for a while after its release, and still sneaks in there sometimes.

8) Evanesce-Super Junior: I made a post about this song a little while back…but it has become one of my favourite releases of 2014. I just can’t stop listening to it!

So there you have it…my 8 favourite K-Pop releases of the year.

[9 Days Until Christmas] Countdown to Christmas…Christmas Carols!

Some of you are probably sick of these after hearing them everywhere from the mall to the radio and then maybe even from the carollers that keep showing up on your doorstep. But I never seem to tire of them. So…today’s post is about my 9 favourite Christmas carols!

Christmas Carols_

1) Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: I grew up with this carol, so it just makes me feel nostalgic every time I hear it. That’s probably why I still love it.

2) Last Christmas: This probably isn’t the most cheerful and I don’t know if it’s actually considered a carol, but oh well. I suppose I’m a bit of a downer, but, and some of you may know this, I seem to be attracted by the sadder songs.

3) White Christmas: I absolutely love snow, and the image of a white Christmas is essential when I think of the holiday. So I guess it’s not surprise that this would be one of my favourites.

4) It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas: I usually start playing this song in…well, November. Probably a little early for some, but after Halloween it really does begin to look and feel festive. At least, that’s how I feel.

5) It’s The Most Wonderful Time of the Year: This song is pretty much an embodiment of my feelings about Christmas. I think that explains everything.

6) Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas: I find this song really soothing and think that it’s the perfect song to play during Christmas, especially when you have guests, etc. over.

7) Jingle Bells: A classic. Really, this carol is part of my holiday repertoire every year. Another one that makes me feel nostalgic when I hear it.

8) Blue Christmas: All the different colours of Christmas…another one that people are probably tired of, but that I really love. Another one with lyrics that aren’t really cheerful, but…I like what I like.

9) Winter Wonderland: Not a surprise, really. With my love of both the holidays and winter, it’d be more surprising if this wasn’t on my list, really.

And that’s it! Drop by again tomorrow for another countdown list~
Thanks for stopping by!

[10 Days Until Christmas] Countdown to Christmas…More Favourites!

On my other blog, I have started a countdown of my favourite beauty products. On this blog, I have decided to just list what favourites I feel like, depending on the day. Today will be my top 10 makeup colours! These 10 colours are my favourites for eyes, lips, cheeks and nails (I’ll specify which).

1) Nude (Eyeshadow): Most of the time I wear eyeshadow, I’m wearing a nude barely there shade. This is super versatile and is great when I just want a natural, clean look.

2) Sparkly Pink (Eyeshadow): I like using this on lids for a bit or colour and to brighten up my lids, but I mostly use this on my waterline in order to pull my look together. It’s not as harsh as white or silver, which I really like.

3) Black (Eyeshadow): Not exactly a colour, but really…who can resist a good smokey eye? Mine aren’t usually very dramatic, but I admit that I do like how it looks. I love using just black eyeshadow on special occasions…you can’t go wrong with a classic.

4) Rose (Blush): This is my go-to colour since it gives me a pretty, natural looking flush. As you can probably tell, I’m more of a natural girl when it comes to makeup looks.

5) Apricot (Blush): This is a warmer colour that I like using during the summers. It’s also very natural looking but gives me a bit of a different look, which I like.

6) Pink (Lips): This is basically my perfect “My lips but better” look which I love so much. Works for everyday as well as formal occasions. Another natural look.

7) Red (Lips): Another classic…because, really, who doesn’t like the timeless red pout?

8) Coral (Lips): Being the natural makeup loving girl I am, I love the coral shades that lean towards the nude side. They’re really pretty and they look natural and clean, but also a little feminine, which I like.

9) Pale Pink (Nails): Some of you may already know that my HG nail polish is a sheer pink colour that almost looks as if you’re not wearing polish at all. It’s versatile and makes your nails look nice and healthy.

10) Sparkly Deep Blue (Nails): This is definitely not a natural look, I know…but sometimes I like experimenting with bright colours (On my nails, that is…I love doing nail art, so using bright colours is often a part of my nail routine). Blue is actually my favourite colour, so I love painting my nails with it.
